Agility UK Values

Any successful business has to have the ‘right’ culture and the people in the business have to not only share that culture but to fully believe in it and demonstrate it in the way they conduct themselves. This is what the AUK culture is all about…

Being "Above The Line"

This is quite simply a reflection of your mental attitude. When you are above the line you are in control, below the line you are subject to what goes on around you. When things go wrong it is easy to blame others, make excuses for inaction or deny something is even wrong. This kind of mental attitude is destructive as nothing ever gets done or resolved and is often a reflection of a victim mentality. When you are above the line, you take ownership of what is happening and accept the responsibility and accountability that goes with it. This leads to the resolution of problems and ensures they don’t happen again. This is about being pro-active and reflects a victor mentality.

Respect & Diversity

AUK is committed to valuing and promoting diversity in all areas of recruitment, employment, training and promotion. AUK will work towards an environment that is based on inclusiveness, where all employees can develop their full potential, irrespective of their race, gender, marital status, age, disability, religious belief, political opinion, or sexual orientation.
This policy applies to all employees of Agility UK Limited

Work Ethic/Balance

Success is often directly proportional to the amount of work undertaken, ergo the harder you work the more successful you become. Whilst this has some merit, it is important to have a good work/life balance and at AUK we strive to have a supportive environment that allows our people to achieve this balance. Work smarter not harder. At Agility we like to ensure that we are fair and balanced in everything that we do and extend this approach to our customers, our suppliers, our team and our products/services.

Honesty & Integrity

Without trust, you have nothing. You owe it to your colleagues, your customers and to yourself to be honest and you should expect the same in return. This will help develop a feeling of mutual collaboration and respect.

Commitment/Ambition

In all that you do give 100% and nobody can ask for more. In return the company and others around you will reciprocate this commitment.

Passionate/Enthusiasm

Be passionate or enthusiastic about what you do, not just in your job but in life. If you’re not passionate about what you do then you probably won’t be very good at it – you will simply get by. Being passionate about what you do can often help make up for any shortfall in knowledge, experience or ability.

Team Environment

There is no ‘I’ in team. Everybody has heard of it but at AUK we like to demonstrate it. Strong leadership, great supporting players with a good combination of age and experience that work together to achieve great things. The leaders drive the way forward making it easier for others to follow and achieve more than they would working alone. Team members should provide encouragement to their colleagues and support each other when the chips are down. Team building is at the heart of everything we do at Agility.

Innovation, Creativity and Continual Improvement

Once again this comes back to mental attitude and agility. When problems arise take ownership of the problem and look for new ways to overcome the problem and prevent it from happening again. People like to see innovative solutions to problems. At AUK we pride ourselves on finding new ways of doing things, continually looking to improve and provide consistently high levels of customer satisfaction evidenced by performance measurement.

Loyalty & Gratitude

Loyalty is a two-way street. Those staff members, customers and suppliers who are loyal to AUK will be recognised and rewarded accordingly.

Fun

We spend a huge proportion of our lives at work and whilst being serious we should try to inject a little fun form time to time. You will be amazed how much more interesting and how much more productive the day becomes when you have fun. If you don’t enjoy it then find something else to do that you will enjoy.

Communications/Open Transparent - Interactive

Many employee surveys cite poor communications for employee dissatisfaction and conversely good communications for employee satisfaction. AUK recognise the importance of good communications, up, down and across the organisation

The Will to Win

We work in a very competitive environment – it is essential therefore that to have a successful business we need to have a strong desire to win.

The best win we can ever get is where the people we are interacting with also believe that they have won too – the win/win situation.

Education/People Development

As with all forms of continuous improvement, this should also apply to yourself. AUK fully support and encourage staff members to undertake continuous professional development and to involve themselves in new activities both within and outside of the business. An active mind is a winning one!

Desirable Employer/Business Community Leaders/Best in Class

At AUK we want to attract the very best – the best staff, the best customers, the best suppliers and the best systems and procedures. We want to be recognised as being the best at what we do and how we do it and who we do it with.

Profitable

To be able to satisfy the long term needs of our staff, our customers, our suppliers and our shareholders, we must be profitable. At AUK we encourage our staff to treat the company’s money with respect. This engenders a feeling of belonging and avoids unnecessary waste and expense.

Eco Sustainability & Corporate Social Responsibility

AUK will work towards minimising its negative impact on the environment, this will be a constantly evolving endeavour to be as responsible as possible, wherever possible. We will work with local organisations and other worthy causes to improve the quality our local community and the lives of people that live in it.
